Very rare Borden creamer. Gail Borden was the founder of The Borden Co., which started out with Condensed Milk , a source of milk that did not need refrigeration. This creamer is amber in color, has a profile of Gail Borden and 1857 on one side and his signature on the other side. Creamer is 1 ¾ inches tall. On the bottom of the cream is “W in a circle and and 99” under it. This would make an excellent addition to your Elsie Borden collection or to your creamer collection. I have had it for about 15 yrs, but it could be a reproductions. Shipping $7.50.
Quart bottle with a ¼ inch red strip on the shoulder. Two sides has a red rectangle with Elsie wearing her Daisy in the middle. Under neither Elsie is The Borden Co. On the bottom in one corner is an X and the opposite corner is 19..At the bottom of one side is 18 REC, another side has SEALED OUT, 3rd side has ONE QUART and last but not least the 4th side has LIQUID.

Signature Quality Milk Bottle has silhouette of Gail Borden, founder of Borden Dairy, on two sides with his signature under it. Embossed on the bottom edge of each side is Liquid, REC, SEALED with L in a circle S, ONE QUART. Bottle is in excellent condition with a small dab of paint on the bottom that can be removed. Creamer is Clear glass with “Borden’s Reg US Pat Off” in bold red letters on the side. On the bottom the numbers 12, 5, 11, and a pattern of some kind in the middle, and is 1 ½” tall. The lower part of the creamer is a “tab” larger than other creamers; this one must have been for people that liked extra cream in their coffee. This is one of the older Borden creamer bottles. Borden Up/Down Creamer
This is a different creamer. Borden’s is printed up and down the creamer instead of around the creamer, but then when you pour the cream Borden’s is printed correctly. On the other side of the creamer, also up and down, printed in red is Elsie and “If its Borden’s it’s got to be good” , The Borden Company, It is almost 2 ¼” high, the bottom is square and the top is round. Embossed on the bottom is 10. There is no capseat, BUT a very reliable source, told me the following “Like with most rules, there are exceptions. I have the same square Borden's creamer you described. It is one of the oddities. Since it has no capseat, it could not have held cream or milk. It could have been a Borden's giveaway or sample back in the 40's or 50's. So, is it old - probably. Is it a creamer - technically no, but close enough to have in a creamer collection. There are only a few different creamers without capseats that are in this category.”

Unusual - Half Gallon bottle, each shoulder has a picture of Elsie in red and on 2 sides you have Borden’s above a round red circle with “ LET YOUR GROCER BE YOUR MILKMAN” in it and under this is Borden, Inc. Around the bottom of the sides is HALF GALLON LIQUID SEALED L C REC 620 On the bottom of bottle is 51-E 42 in a circle. There are some scratches on the bottle, consistence with its age and usage. This is an old bottle/jug. Gail Borden Signature Quality MILK on 2 sidesm and the siloutte of Gail Borden 1857. It has a plastic carrying handle, embossed around the bottom rim, Liquid , Registered, Sealed with 1 inside a circle S , One Gallon. On the bottom 9 and I think 63, embossed in the center of the bottom I think it says Dainalas, I don’t think that is correct, but it starts with D and ends with las. Around the bottom rim is a double row of xxxxxxxxx. Some wear and tear but over all good condition. Shipping $11.50
